Song-Cho Bread Machine Review

Making bread at home seems like an impossible task for me. Even though I love cooking, flour and dough has never come across my mind. In just a few dollar, I can easily get a nice loft of bread or even fanciful bread buns. So why should I take the trouble to make it?
"Preservatives! Additive! Tran Fats! High Salt Contain!"
A few days ago, 
Song-Cho Bread Machine was delivered to my home. My little one was excited when I told her "This is to make bread". Immediately she replied "I want! I want!".
My New Bread Machine, 面包机. "I am going to start from basic. To bake the simplest loaf of white bread."
Before use, spread a thin layer of oil evenly all over the morion non-stick inner barrel and kneading blade. Place the morion non-stick inner barrel on the weighing scale. Reset weighing scale to 0g. Add in ingredients A.

Ingredients A:
  • 500g Bread Flour
  • 7g Instant Dry Yeast
  • 1 tsp Salt
Select Menu 2. Press Start. Pour in ingredients B a few minutes later.
Ingredients B:
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 300ml Tepid Water
Bread Making Stage: Knead 1.
Bread Making Stage: Knead 1. Almost complete.
"I was a little concern if this Bread Machine is able to mix the ingredients evenly. Seems like it is able to."
Bread Making Stage: Raise 1.
Bread Making Stage: Raise 2.
Bread Making Stage: Raise 3.
"Throughout the bread making process, I opened the cover a few times to closely check the dough. It feels slightly warm. Dough was very well knead. I do not need to use my hands to further knead the dough."
Bread Making Stage: Bake.
"Remember to remove the kneading blade and shaped the dough into a round shape before the baking process. I forgotten to do so, hence it was baked together."
Bread making process is completed. Remove morion non-stick inner barrel from Bread Machine. Now it's time to pour out the loaf of bread.
The entire loaf of Bread comes out nicely when I flipped over the morion non-stick inner barrel.
"I didn't expect it to be so easy."
My 1st loaf of fresh White Bread done in fully automated mode. It was so simple and mess free. All I need is a good recipe.
I cut open to check if it is well baked. Also to remove the kneading blade which I forgotten to remove before baking.
My 1st loaf of fresh White Bread is ready for my little one.
Home-made bread can be done easily without much effort. Just pour in all the ingredients and let the fully automated mode take charge.

    How did you get to know of the Song-Cho brand? I saw it in the supermarket recently, they were doing demo there. How is your bread making experience so far with this machine? Anything to take note of when using?

    The price is quite reasonable compared to other brands in the market out there.

  2. Hi Jordan, Song-Cho is a very establish brand in sg, my mum, aunties all known this branding for years. Their Bread Machine is good for making standard loaf of bread. No need to use my hands at all. It has many functions such as making jam, mee hoon kway, kaya and cakes etc. Can use it as a mixer. Things to take note: The default user guide booklet instructions is not clear, hence many things need to try and error to figure out. But once you get the hang of it, it is actually very good. If you need a more indepth answer, then you can always contact Song-Cho hotline: 6281 1198.

  4. Hi Cody, it does come with a manual but the recipe is not useful. Will need to try out and explore by myself. If you really need a good recipe, can always request from Song-Cho.

    I need yr help ! I lost my Song-Cho BM user book !
    Wanted to do pizza ! Previously I used Server one brand and making a dough will take 1hr 50mins. Today, I tried to use SC BM by pressing Menu 11-Dough but d timing only 20 mins ! What's d difference between 12-Rise Dough, 14-Slow Knead Dough & 15-Fast Knead Dough ? Am I using d correct MENU 11 to prepare my Pizza Dough ?
    Hope to get yr reply soon. TQ

    1. The bread flour I used was 500g with 300g water .... But Menu 11 preparing my pizza dough in just 20 mins ! Anything wrong ?
      After completed, I tried to do Menu 12 for Rise Dough but just CAN'T move the Menu function ! Headache lo
